Redemption

Redemption starring famous Hollywood star Jason Statham comes with a whole new way of approaching issues like human trafficking and drug addiction. The film, written and directed by Steven Knight  portrays the life of an ex soldier Joey Jones/ Joseph Smith (Jason Statham) who is now a homeless drug addict living in the streets of London .

Love, revenge and rage all the three can be seen best exhibited in the movie while none of it really makes any sense at the end.

Though it is evident that the movie is not much different from Jason’s usual style, it is of no doubt that this is going to be marked special as it not only adds a new dimension to his acting , but stands clear of being a mere action thriller also. This is definitely a go to movie for all the Jason Statham fans. The movie does take a turn after the introduction of Sister Cristina (Agata Buzek) and that’s when we should hold us back from predetermining the storyline based on the movie’s title. Apart from having a feel that the protagonist is in favor of illegal drug trade at some point in the movie; all the possibilities of this film giving a negative message to the viewers can be ruled out.

The physique apart from the acting skills of Agata Buzek plays a significant role in elevating her role as Sister Cristina to a different level. No wonder if you doubt her for one of the real angels of God.

Using post traumatic stress disorder to indicate the guilty conscience of the protagonist worked out really well in the film; in fact it does give the film a fiction free touch.

We can also find the loyalty of the servants of God being put at stake which is indeed not a good thing to keep us entertained throughout the movie. It is definitely a movie to watch if you are looking for action, drama and love in one place and that too in 100 minutes.
